Paula’s wine pick: Gaudio Barbera del Monferrato Superiore


One of the things that we love the most about Barbera is how it is an acidity-driven, super food-friendly wine (and at Vino Vino, in case you haven’t noticed, we love good food).

While most Barbera we see here in ATX comes from Alba (where Barbera is grown as a younger sibling of Nebbiolo), this killer Barbera comes from Monferrato, where Barbera is KING.

We love the classic minerality of this wine and its nervy acidity. And at 13.5% alcohol, you can have an extra glass with it weighing you down.

A perfect red wine for summer.
